II. Working Principle

The working principle of a semi-automatic spreader primarily relies on mechanical structures and the elastic potential energy of springs During the lifting process, the spreader utilizes its self-weight and the force of the springs to rotate an intermediate axis, which subsequently engages the twistlocks into the corner castings of the container. Upon reaching the designated position, the spreader automatically unlocks and releases the container without manual intervention. Additionally, some semi-automatic spreaders are equipped with auxiliary devices such as rotating heads and hydraulic guide plates to adapt to different working conditions and enhance operational efficiency.

III. Structural Composition

A semi-automatic spreader primarily consists of a frame, twistlock devices, an operating mechanism, an anti-rotation device, lifting cables, and shackles. The frame serves as the main structure supporting the container. The twistlock devices lock onto the corner castings of the container. The operating mechanism controls the opening and closing of the twistlocks. The anti-rotation device ensures that the spreader does not rotate during lifting. Lastly, the lifting cables and shackles connect the spreader to the crane.

IV. Advantages and Characteristics
